Grant applications are now open

The NSW Government continues to support NSW Communities to honour the service and sacrifice of our veterans. Today Veterans Minister, John Sidoti announced applications for funding from the State’s Anzac Community Grants Program and the Community War Memorials Fund are now open.

Minister for Veterans John Sidoti said every town or suburb has their own unique memorial that tells the story of local war history.

“If your local memorial is in need of repair or restoration, encourage your council or local ex-service organisation to apply for a grant.” Mr Sidoti said.

The Community War Memorials Fund provides grants of up to $10,000 to protect, conserve and repair war memorials including statues, honor rolls and memorial halls which commemorate the Anzac legacy.

The Anzac Community Grants Program provides grants of up to $2,000 to schools, community organisations and veterans groups to recognise Australia’s military service, educate a new generation and support the NSW veteran community.

Applications for both grant programs are open until 5pm, Monday 11 November.
